Asterias restaurant is situated next to Theologos beach since 1950. Originally opened as tavern under the name "Uncle Loukas Malkazas".Today operates under the name of ASTERIAS (starfish in Greek language) by third generation restaurateurs …. family of Luke and the Vasiliki Philippou.
Initially it was operating as a fish tavern, offering deliciously fresh fish of Evian gulf from the catch of local fishermen. Soups (kakavia), octopus, squid and delicious smelt of Lekouna made the restaurant famous pretty soon, with many vip clients like Aliki Vouyiouklaki
Years later the menu was expanded, on customers request, offering local ribs, super stuffed burgers, hearty pork & beef steaks and delicious chicken on the grill. In Asterias you can also taste pizza of your choice, delicious spaghetti and various food cooked in oil or not.
Respecting both tradition and customers, Asterias is today a contemporary restaurant, offering many culinary highlights of the professional chef Spiro Philip, graduate of the School of Tourism and retraining in Hotel Caravel.
